Mosiria asks critics to let him help GBV victims

Geoffrey Mosiria on Friday, September 11, 2026, hit back at critics questioning his efforts to help children and people affected by gender-based violence (GBV).
Mosiria said he has faced what he described as persistent opposition despite dedicating his time to helping vulnerable people.
“Mbona nikisaidia watoto wanaodhulumiwa, wale kina mama, kina dada na boychild wanaopitia GBV, mnasikia vibaya na kunipiga vita?” Mosiria asked.
He said his efforts have come at a personal cost, including sacrificing his sleep and comfort to respond to cases involving children and other people facing abuse.
“Najinyima usingizi na joto ili niokoe watoto wasiuawe, halafu mnanipiga vita ya nini?” he said.
Mosiria further argued that if more leaders took an active role in helping vulnerable people, fewer Kenyans would have to seek his intervention.
“Kama kila kiongozi angefanya kazi ninayofanya, leo hii tusingekuwa na watu wanaonipigia simu wakisema, ‘Mosiria, njoo utusaidie,’” he said.
He also claimed that he has faced pressure since he began publicly assisting children and people experiencing abuse.
“Tangu nianze kusaidia watoto na wale wanaodhulumiwa, mmenitesa ya kutosha! Achaneni na mimi nifanye kazi,” Mosiria said.
His remarks come as public conversations around GBV, child protection and the role of individuals in responding to vulnerable members of society continue to attract attention.
